My Moda salesman was here on Friday, tempting me with samples of all the fabric lines that were introduced a few days before at Quilt Market in Houston. I'm attempting to maintain a style of fresh, modern, designer fabrics to use in my quilts and sell in my etsy shop, so it was easy to say no to the traditional prints, reproductions, and soft, florals. Then came the hard part. There are SO many really great modern fabrics by really good designers.
Then, Michael Miller Fabrics called me yesterday afternoon to show me (via the web) all of their new fabrics from Market. Then I thought about all the Kona Cotton colors I need to reorder as my stock is getting low, and the colors I would like to add to my stock.
Not to mention Kaffe Fasset and Amy Butler...
Overwhelming? It wouldn't be if I could just buy it all, because it's all so pretty!
Being on a budget, like most people, I need to be selective and limit what I buy. (Until I win the lottery, lol.) It's still risky, though. What if I buy fabric and no one else likes it? Oh! The pressure! Haha.
Yes, I ordered some Moda lines. Won't see those for months, though. Needing something fresh for the shop now, and I've narrowed my options to two:
1. Restock the Kona Cottons that have been selling well and add 10 more colors. (Very tempting.)
or
2. Go out on a limb and order these Michael Miller fabrics, which I adore:
Which fabric would you most desire?

I'm a new blogger, so hope that I qualify for this giveaway. I've blogged about your give away on my blogsite.
I would vote for the Michael Miller fabrics, but I love the solids too. I like to use Moda in things I make. We don't have a local fabric shop, so I have to drive 50 miles to get fabric, or order online.
I wish everyone good luck in this give away, but I do hope I can win. It would be a first for me. :)
Thanks for the fun giveaway!

I love Michael Miller prints, but if I am going to use solids I love Kona cotton. Reproduction prints are just one of my all time favorites. i use a lot of novelty prints when I sew. I probably would get the Michael Miller prints.

1. I'd play it safe and buy what sells best for you. I stick with the Kona Cotton Solids. I do like looking at the Michael Miller fabric you posted. But I'm not sure I would use it in projects as quickly as the other.
5. I like Batik's best. Next I use Michael Miller and Amy Butler.
I hope that helps if even a little bit. Jelly rolls are fun and they make quick gift giving easier.
Smiles,
Kelly

My vote would be for Michael Miller. His stuff is outstanding! I have to say that I love Moda because it is the nicest feeling fabic on the market. It's hard to beat it, but I use Reproduction fabrics more than any other fabric out there. I guess it is because I love that time period so much. It really depends though on what I am going to make.
What a great giveaway! Please count me in.

oh, I am sneaking in right under the raidar here, ok so I have like 12 more hours but still!
1) I like the moda prints!! (but it does sound like the Kona would be a success)
2) I used to use the "nice" fabric at JoAnn's for my quilting, and then I met Moda....the budget hasn't yet allowedfor much more than charm packs and some small yardages (that I sneak in) but I'm in love!
3) I posted a link at my blog...you even get your own post since I just did a big ole post last night!

what a great site you have......wandered over from The Quilting Cat.. your fabric choices are lovely and exciting....I have t ended to use Moda fabric lines more often but love to venture out into other lines such as Michael Miller's......I will need to find some of the jungle animal type fabric....it has the right look not being the traditional baby jungle print but has enough whimsy factor that my daughter in law would approve of for grandson's room.....and I would approve of for the whimsy effect.....I don't have a blog but plan to come back and visit and check out your shop
Thanks for the opportunity...

1 - I'd go with the Kona
2 - I tend to go with more traditional prints...I particularly hunt small prints that read as solids which are sometimes hard to find
